Reflexology and Anxiety

Anxiety can be triggered at any time of life and due to many different factors. In turn it can cause problems for the individual suffering from it by causing :

  • A constant and obsessive worrying
  • Feelings of being overwhelmed and wanting to cry all the time
  • Obsessive and repetitive thoughts
  • Wildly fluctuating emotions
  • Difficulty concentrating, becoming easily distracted
  • Difficulty learning or remembering things
  • Insomnia
  • A feeling of being unable to relax
  • A loss of libido
  • Changes to appetite – including craving sweets, losing your appetite, increased nausea and/or vomiting, changes in weight
  • Reflexology may be a great way of relaxing and lowering  your stress levels and anxiety symptoms.  It can be a profoundly relaxing experience and may also help to rebalance hormones and lessen the symptoms of anxiety, helping you to manage day to day activities and begin to feel in control again.
